Rachel Bradley | Public Art+ is an art consultant, curator and project manager based in the West Midlands, UK who specialises in modern and contemporary art, devising art programmes, working with artists, public art commissioning, organising exhibitions, Public Engagement and Learning programmes. She has a track record of delivering bespoke large- and small-scale arts projects for public and private sector clients ranging from artists’ commissions for public realm to exhibitions for museums, galleries, arts centres, festivals and non-arts spaces.

She has a place-based practice designing and commissioning programmes with Planning, development and regeneration departments, environmental and social contexts. Rachel has set up many projects that address strategic gaps in the visual arts ecology including New Art West Midlands graduates exhibitions programme, 2013-2018; Art Market Project, 2014-2016 and Midwest: Artists’ Support Agency, 2003-2008, an artists’ network as catalyst for creative thought for artist-led culture and artists’ professional development. Her research and writing focuses on the role of arts centres, audience attitudes to public art and creating opportunities for artists to contribute to placemaking, local identity, civic participation and building community relations in cities, towns and neighbourhoods.

Rachel is currently an Associate Curator (freelance) for Midlands Arts Centre | mac Birmingham and she previously worked at Public Art Commissions Agency | PACA, Birmingham and Centre for Contemporary Arts | CCA, Glasgow.
